Japanese Gardens

  • Japanese Garden / Ft. Worth Botanical Gardens 3220 Botanic Garden Boulevard Fort Worth, TX, 76107 United States (map)

The Fort Worth Japanese Garden was completed in 1973. It is a traditional stroll garden with winding paths through the landscapes and around ponds. The Garden consists of 7.5 acres filled with cherry trees, Japanese maples, magnolias, bamboo, bridges, and ponds. The Garden is a great spot for capturing vivid fall colors.

I visited the Garden Thursday; November 11 and I have attached a few images from that visit. What I learned from that trip:

• The road leading to parking in front of the Garden is blocked. I had to park in front of the Botanic Garden and enter there. It is a good walk to the Japanese Gardens.

• When I entered and paid, the cashier told me there would be an additional charge to get into the Garden, but when I got there, I did not have to pay an additional charge.

• The tram was not running.

• The Rock Springs café is open, and they have outdoor seating for anyone wanting to have lunch there.
